About Us
We are all about Holliston. As a community based information site, we fulfill our mission by providing news and events as they happen and by providing interactive features that keep users connected with the community.
Holliston Net News (HNN) was founded in 2005 by Mary Greendale. A long time resident and involved citizen, Mary, a former Selectwoman, started the site to give Holliston its own community newspaper. With help from a group of friends and talented folks in town, HNN was an important town information website until September 2006.
In response to Mary's appeal for a successor, Tom Murphy approached her about continuing HNN. Tom had moved to Holliston in 1996. When he became involved in several different groups through his children, he came to realize the importance of knowing what is happening in the community. This shared interest in local community service, paired with dedication and hard work by all who are involved, has formed the success of today's Holliston Net News.
Contributors
Ann Talbot, Bill Tobin, Bobby "the Mayor" Blair, Susan Woodrow, Tom Murphy, Nicole Watson, Mary Greendale and Katie Connors have been regular contributors. In addition, there are several writers who submit pieces periodically and their bylines are included with each article. Also on staff is our talented Graphic Design Artist, Greg Lamb.
HNN welcomes freelancers to join our staff of dedicated volunteers. We encourage organizations, writers, and other interested parties to submit articles that promote their efforts and share their opinions. We encourage submissions from Holliston High School writers and are in the process of launching an internship program.
