Heading Off to Prom?

1. Do: Work up the courage to ask someone to prom.

Don’t: Get so excited when they say yes that you shriek out a long confusing sentence that sounds something like “omhdshkdhsjadkkhkhsaded”!

2. Do: Work up the courage to ask someone to prom.

Don’t: Feel so disappointed that they said that they could not go to prom/ said they were planning on asking someone else/ laughed in your face that you burst into tears and lock yourself in the girls’ bathroom.

3. Do: Clean up your nails and put nail polish on.

Don’t: Neglect your awful smelling feet, because no one will want to dance with you if your feet give off the worst stench man has ever smelled.

4. Do: Buy an amazing dress with shoes to match.

Don’t: Wait until the day before prom to get your dress altered.

5. Do: Have fun dancing.

Don’t: Dance so out of control that you accidentally break your date’s arm

6. Do: Go to prom with friends if you don’t have a date.

Don’t: Bring your 6 year old brother, he will only ask about the food, whine, and ask every 5 minutes if it’s time to go.

7. Do: Enjoy your delicious prom food.

Don’t: Spill all over your once clean, beautiful dress that is now covered in spaghetti sauce, salad and salad dressing, and your drink.

8. Do: Mingle around to several tables and groups of people

Don’t: Sit at your table the entire time, wallowing in self-pity and worrying that no one likes you.

9.   Do: Create a prom filled with memories by taking hundreds of photos, good and bad.

Don’t: Put all the photos, the good and the bad, on Facebook especially the one with your best friend or date discreetly picking their nose.

10. Do: Have a fun-filled night with friends and dancing.

Don’t: Forget all of the do’s and don’t on this list.
