Food Pantry Looking to Fill Student Board Position

The Holliston Pantry Shelf has an opening on the Board for a Holliston  High School  Sophomore or Junior.  This is an academic year position that gives a student the opportunity to be an integral part of the Board of Directors of a not-for- profit organization in an non-voting capacity.  It’s a great opportunity for a student to view the inner workings of the Pantry Shelf and to participate in a new volunteer experience.  

• Attending Food Pantry Board Meetings, usually held at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month.  Meetings last for approximately 1-1½ hrs.

• Participating in fund-raising activities when appropriate

• Assisting in putting together our annual Christmas dinner baskets.

• Assisting us in special food collections where appropriate

such as the NHS’s Halloween Food Drive,

• Helping to stock shelves, take inventory and unload food items where needed.

• Helping to find other students to volunteer at events such as the Souper Bowl and Turkey Dinner @ Celebrate Holliston.
