Holliston Library News
Residents who borrow museum passes from the Holliston Library can now reserve them online from the library website at www.hollistonlibrary.org from home 24 hours per day. The software is made possible by a gift from the Irving and Shirley Sills Fund. A valid library card is required and only Holliston residents may book passes in advance. A library card can be obtained at no charge with proper identification. The museum pass program provides discount passes to local museums, zoos and attractions for adults and children. They include the New England Aquarium, the Science Museum in Boston, the Discovery Museum in Acton, Roger Williams Zoo in Providence, Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut, Tower Hill Botanical Gardens, Garden in the Woods in Framingham, the Children’s Museum of Boston, the Fine Arts Museum, a pass to the Mass state parks and Plimoth Plantation. The passes are gifts from the Holliston Newcomers Club, the Holliston Garden Club and the Friends of the Holliston Library.
The Friends of the Holliston Public Library are selling discount tickets to Southwick Zoo in Mendon for $10 each. The regular admission price is $18.75 for adults and $12.75 for children and seniors. Payment can be made in cash or by check made out to the Friends. Credit or debit cards cannot be accepted at this time. Purchases are made at the children’s desk on the lower level of the library during regular hours. For more information call the library at 429-0617 or email lmcdonnell@minlib.net.
