Julia Coppelman Awarded Jensen-Sheehan Scholarship

Julia Coppelman, 2010 graduate of Holliston High School, is the recipient of the Jensen-Sheehan Insurance Agency - Bill and Mary Sheehan scholarship.  The scholarship was presented at Senior Awards Evening in June.

“Mary and I are so pleased to announce Julia’s selection for our annual scholarship award,” said Bill Sheehan, president of Jensen-Sheehan. “She is a superb scholar and an energetic student leader who has earned the respect of her peers and faculty members.”

Sheehan said that her teachers describe Julia as “a person who is not afraid to challenge herself in the classroom and is looking forward to the endless opportunities that await her at the college level."

Julia is a student leader who was involved in many extracurricular activities at Holliston High. She was president of National Honor Society, SADD and Model U.N. Noted as one of the hardest working students in her class, she has developed a high level of fluency in the French language as an asset for her future endeavors.

As her guidance counselor at the high school put it, “Time and time again, Julia has demonstrated determination, commitment and maturity, and the next four years (at college) will only serve to enhance these wonderful qualities.”

Jensen-Sheehan is an independent insurance agent. Located at 54 Central Street in Holliston, the agency has served area customers continuously since its founding in 1926.
