Dykema Kicks off CampaignSupporters and constituents of State Representative Carolyn Dykema braved the rainy weather Tuesday evening to come out for her campaign kick-off event at Pejamajo Café in Holliston.
Several elected officials and a local business owner spoke in support of Dykema in her campaign for re-election. Hopkinton Selectman Todd Cestari, Holliston business owner Fran Colantonio, retired Southborough Fire Chief John Mauro and Westborough Selectman Tim Dodd each addressed the crowd, talking about the work Representative Dykema has done on behalf of their communities.
“Common threads in the speakers’ testimonials were her ability to listen to constituents, her willingness to act on their behalf, and her integrity,” said Southborough resident and emcee for the evening Kelly Roney. “Clearly, she is doing the job we elected her to do.”
Dykema addressed the group, discussing issues she has worked on and will continue to work on including: job creation and economic growth, veterans affairs, healthcare reform, and water and transportation infrastructures.
Representative Dykema currently represents the residents of the 8th Middlesex District, which consists of Holliston, Hopkinton and precincts in Southborough, Westborough and Medway.
