PRESS RELEASE

The Holliston Board of Health will hold a rabies vaccination clinic on Saturday, April 7, 2007 at the Holliston Highway Department off Arch Street.

Cost is $10.00 per animal. Dogs will be immunized from 10-11 am; cats and ferrets 11 am – 12 pm. Dogs must be on a leash, cats in carriers. Bring proof of pet’s rabies vaccination history on the NASPHV Form 50 or veterinarian’s form. Dr. Michelle Delbecq from Holliston Animal Hospital will administer the vaccine.

The Town Clerk’s office will have dog licenses available at the clinic between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m.

Rabies is an infectious and contagious disease that can be transmitted to humans. If untreated, rabies is considered 100 percent fatal. Keeping pets up to date on rabies shots is the law in Massachusetts. It is also in the best interest of your animals and your family.
