How about the difference between "fruity" and "sweet"? What about a "tannic" wine? If you want to be able to articulate what you are tasting, then this is the class for you! Don't delay! Saturday, June 14th - 4-7pm - "Big Daddy Wine Tasting" Join us as we sample some wines we think Dad will love (and offer some special discounts too). Tuesday, June 17th - 6:30 to 8pm - "Welcome to Wine" Wine Class Whether you are new to wine or would just like a refresher on the basics, this class is basic, yet comprehensive. We will taste both white and red wines! Saturday, June 21st - 4-7pm - "Monsieur Matt's Marvies" Wine Tasting Join Matt and me as we rock the house with some great summer sippers!! Whatever you are doing, take a break and pop in for a treat! Sunday, June 22nd - 4:30 to 6pm - "Wild About Whites" Wine Class White wines can be anywhere from refreshing easy sippers to complex full-bodied luxuries. Come be whisked away into the world of white wines and discover some truly unique gems that are sure to please your palate! Just email me or call me to secure your seat today! Don't forget. we do private wine classes - gather up 6-10 friends and we'll customize a class just for you!! Don't forget Dad! Father's Day is Sunday June 15th! Some ideas: - A gourmet gift basket filled with goodies (wine, beer, cheese, etc.) - A gift card (available in any amount) - Cool Chimay Beligian brew (that comes with a FREE glass) - A gift certificate to a wine class! We will be open Father's Day 12-5 also. Closing Thoughts Although I tell many of you I live in a (wine) cave and sometimes can be unaware of what is going on in the outside world, there is one thing I do try to keep up with. Having competitive prices is very important to me. Usually it is hard for small shops to compete with the big boys, but I think we do relatively well with offering you the best values for wines of all types in the market today. Recently I had the chance to check out prices at a store in Natick and although they offer a bigger case discount, their price for one specific bottle of Napa Cab was $5 more than me!! So, all I ask, when you are out and about, please compare apples to apples when price checking (or grapes to grapes for that matter). You may be surprised at what you find! And, I do hope you will keep coming back to The Wine House - remember, we are small on space but big on value! Have a great week and hope to see you soon! Cheers! Rochelle
