Today we begin our "Dog Days of Summer" theme! That's right, from the time you get this email until the end of the day on July 31st, bring in a

photo (a real one) of your dog (or someone else's) and receive an entry in our raffle to win some cool prizes! One of them being a bottle of the long-gone Layer Cake Shiraz!!!! Also, some "dog" wines will be featured with special savings!

Thanks for a spectacular 4th of July weekend! Many were surprised that we planned to be open on the 4th (and maybe a bit crazy too) but it was a great day with friends and wine!

We are having one and only one wine class in July and it is going to be a good one! Save the date (July 20th) and don't wait too long to sign up for this one! See details below . .

Just to let you know. . . in July & August we will be closing at 7pm on Saturdays (instead of 8pm). It's our little way of "taking a vacation."

We will have baguettes again on Friday and Saturday (they are in by noon)!

        "Rochelle's Roses" Tasting ~ Saturday, July 19th from 3-6pm

        Pairing Wine & Food -Summer Session ~ Sunday, July 20th 5-7pm

Class Description:
Join us for an explosion of flavors and textures as we explore the wonderful world of wine & food pairing. Treat your palate to a night of "wow's" and "ah-ha's" as we grasp food and wine pairing principles and bring them to life! You'll understand why certain wines just "click" with certain foods and why a big California Chardonnay pairs better with steak than a light Pinot Noir (even though it's red). Leave feeling confident in selecting wine to pair at your next dinner party or with your next meal in a restaurant. We will taste diverse foods such as baja cilantro shrimp, tomato & mozzarella crostini with lemon balsamic dressing, rosemary thyme chicken and more! Final menu still to be determined. Recipes for dishes served provided. Cost per person: $50

        Brew Bonanza Tasting ~ Saturday, August 2nd from 3-6pm

CLOSING THOUGHTS

Nothing deep this week. . . I'm just celebrating 2 victories on reality TV shows!! First, Deanna chose Jesse on "The Bachelorette" and then Gordon Ramsay chose Christina on "Hell's Kitchen"! I am elated! I love watching shows that are entertaining as I unwind from my day and plan the next one. Of course, I love drama and detective shows too, like "Saving Grace" whose Season Premiere is next Monday night at 10pm on TNT.
