Wine House Happenings

This Week's Tasting ~ Friday, August 8th 5:30 to 7:30pm ~ FREE!
This Friday, Senor Matteo esta en nuestra casa con vino muy excellente! (ok, roughly that translates to Mr. Matt is in our house with some excellent wines!) Seven years of Spanish and what do I have to show for it? (I'm just a chica loca) But I do know Spanish wines that taste great and are an incredible value!!!
Come taste all seven wines we will have open:
As for the beer, many of you fell in love with the 3 flavors we have from Peak Organic Brewing Company in Maine - Nut Brown, Maple Oat and Amber Ale. The Hoegaarden and Flying Dog Woody White were also flying out of the house - these are great summertime brews! Speaking of which, come make your own 6-pack of the summer seasonals soon! Next month the fall flavors will be arriving in!
Sneak Preview of What's to Come
Hold onto your seat! We will be offering delivery of gift baskets and cases of wine!! We are working on the costs, and of course, someone over 21 must be home to receive the goods. We will have a catalog of baskets to choose from so gift giving will be so easy! Of course, we will always customize to your requests
The Wine House Fall Calendar of Classes! Classes will be back in session here at The Wine House starting in September! I am recruiting fellow enthusiasts to offer their expertise on different subjects about wine and key regions. We'll be having a class on organic and biodynamic wines, The World Down Under - Australian wines, several Pairing Wine with Food classes and more!
Wine of the Month Club - coming soon! This will be a great gift idea for the holidays!!
Anniversary Grand Tasting - save the date - Saturday, November 15th!! This is an event you won't want to miss! Over 50 wines will be available for tasting, as well as gourmet goodies and lots of fun!
Sama Chocolatier Chocolates! If you loved the Buttercrunch or the chocolate covered oreos we had earlier this spring, they will be back soon!

^ Mirone White & Rose
^ Taja Spanish red (mostly monastrall, 90 pts!)
^ Ugarte Riojas (Cosecha, Crianza & Reserva)
Last Weekend "Wows"
Well last weekend the house was rockin' with not only our usual Friday night wine tasting but a brew bonanza tasting on Saturday! Some "wow"s from the weekend were the Twin Vines Vinho Verde - a great summer sipper and low in alcohol! The Villa Mt Eden Zinfandel was also a hit - I guess you were thinking BBQ ribs!!! We have plenty of both in stock!
