Auditions for Holliston High's Sound of Music ProductionThe perennial favorite about a problem named Maria, graces the Holliston High School stage November 18, 19 & 20. This final collaboration between Rodgers and Hammerstein is considered to be the world’s most beloved musical and is the winner of five Tony Awards including Best Musical. Featuring some of the most delightfully infectious songs of all time, an endearing love story set in Austria at the dawn of WWII and one of the most thrilling and inspirational finales ever presented in the theatre; it is guaranteed to win your heart.
The Sound of Music is Holliston High School’s Theatre 370 2010 Fall Musical and they have opened up auditions to middle and elementary age students!
They will be looking to cast the roles of Brigitta (age 9-10), Marta (age 7-8), Gretl (age 5-7) and possible Kurt (age 11-12). Auditions for these roles will be held Tuesday, September 14 at 5:30 in the High School auditorium. No preparation is necessary for this audition. Children will be taught a song from the show (One they are probably familiar with – “Do-Re-Mi”) and will be asked to sing individually. If time allows we will have them do a brief acting audition. Parents must accompany their child to the audition. However, parents will not be allowed in the auditorium during the audition. Callback will be held Thursday, September 16 at 3:30 in the High School auditorium. Not every child will be called back. Callbacks will be contacted by phone. If you have any questions please contact the Director, Brian Hickey at hickeyb@holliston.k12.ma.us.
