Holliston Track Season Review

Holliston Girls Track

Behind strong field events Holliston's girls won their first twp meets and lost a very close meet to Medfield.

Vickie Palamatier (Above) is unbeaten in the shot put, Marissa Bynoe (Below) is unbeaten in the triple jump and only one loss in the long jump.

With strong support from Sarah Sams (LJ), Brittany Watling (Shot), Steph Brockert (High Jump) and Caroline Clancy (Triple Jump - Below).

On the track we have enjoyed strong performances from Rachel Dinehart (Below) and Meridith McKunes in the 400 meters.

Jill Rosati (Below 1st) and Kaylee Kazubal (Below 3rd) in the mile and 2 mile, Marissa Bynoe and Sarah Sams in the 100m and 100m hurdles, Kendra Costello in the 200 meters and new comer MaryAlice Mckenna in the 800 meters. The high jump is our deepest event with Steph Brockert, Rachel Dinehart, Julie Blackmore and Emily Stebbins all placing in the first four meets.

Most noteable performance to date is Vickie Palmatier shot put against Hopkinton with a personal best and league leading throw of 34' 3/4".

Holliston Boys Track

The boys have been off to a rough start losing three very close meets against the top tier teams in the league. Westwood won by 4 points and Hopkinton came down to the relay (final event). Against Medfield we were in the lead with 3 events to go.

Leading our efforts have been the outstanding field events. Tommy Donovan (Above) is unbeaten in both the triple jump and the long jump while leading the league in both events. Tommy also has been excellent in the 100m and 200m. Cam Chisholm (Below) leads the league in the shot put and is unbeaten and Raeburn Hathaway is unbeaten and leads the league in the javelin.

On the track Evan Reseska (Below) has been outstanding. He leads the league in the mile and 2 mile having lost each event one time.

Dino Roffo (below) and Dan Ikuma have provided an excellent one two punch in the 400 meters and have run outstanding legs in the 4 X 400m.

Dan Ikuma has also been our main point scorer in the 100 meters. We have had some very strong new comers make an impact for team in Patric Castellanos in the high jump, 200 meters and the long jump and Mike Noonan in the high jump and long jump. Justin Murray is unbeaten in the 400 hurdles and has set a school record in each meet and leads the league.

Justin and Chris Losurdo (Above) are among the league leaders in the 800m and give us the strongest one two in that event. Andrew Krauss (Below) has lost only once in the high hurdles and has taken 3 seconds off his personal best. He is also near the top of the league in the triple jump.
