Senior Athletic Awards Banquet at Pinecrest

The Annual Senior Awards Banquet was held Tuesday Evening, May 25^th at the Fairview at Pinecrest Golf Club.  Hosted by HHS Athletic Director Jim Carboneau, this annual event is open to all graduating senior athletes and their parents.  It is attended also by many of the HHS coaches, and is a great event to thank these seniors for representing Holliston as student athletes.

After a fine meal, Mr. Carboneau led a presentation to the Athletes.  An overview of each of the teams was provided to the parents, and several scholarships and awards were handed out. 

The award winners were

Scholar Athlete:  Stephanie Ydoate and Dan Ikuma

Best Athlete:  Marissa Bynoe and Tommy Donovan

Sportsman Award:  Kelsey Regan, Kristen Bellomo, Chris Losurdo, and John McLean

Scholarship winners were:

Friends of Football:  Ryan Barry and Tommy Donovan

Holliston Athletic Boosters:  Jenny Lisak, Ben Sherr, Matt Meile, and Matt Flynn

Below is the overview of the seniors accomplishments presented at the banquet.  Holliston thanks these seniors and wishes them the best in their post graduation pursuits!

Without spending many hours on each of our senior athletes many athletic and personal achievements as it would take and as they all deserve, I would like to take a few minutes to mention each sport and senior athlete.  I hope that all of you have or will take the time to look at all the posters that point out some great memories and accomplishments each team has had, along with some individual achievements of note.  Please forgive me if I miss anyone, or overlook any of your achievements – there are so many of them that it is hard to summarize your outstanding individual accomplishments, school records being set and too many to mention acts of sportsmanship and hard work and dedication. 

Each fall, you graduating Senior Athletes have helped transition us from the relaxation of summer to the start of a new school year.

Boys Soccer

The graduating girl’s varsity soccer team of Captains Christina Mendoza and Kelsey Regan, along with Kelsey Chester, Brittany Watling, Marissa Bynoe, Brianna Colontonio, Allison Rossini, Jess Habif and manager Katie Curran have been a very important part of talented HHS soccer teams over the past four years.  This past season culminated 4 years of hard work with these girls sharing in the second consecutive Tri Valley League Championship.  And in qualifying for post-season play, they won their first game only to fall in their semi final game in overtime by 2-1.  Jess, Marrisa, Cristina, and Kelsey Regan were 1^st team TVL All Stars, with Kelsey and Jess also 1^st Team E-Mass all stars.
