Learn More About the Holliston Public Montessori Program

Is Montessori at Placentino Elementary School the right choice for your pre-school or kindergarten child? Do you want to learn more about Montessori philosophy, methods, materials, and standards in a public school? Find out more on Wednesday, January 11th at 7:00 P.M. at Sam Placentino Elementary School, 235 Woodland Street to learn more about Holliston's public school Montessori program for children Preschool to Grade 4. An additional meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 1st at 7:00 P.M.

The Pre-K and K presentation is specifically geared for parents who are interested in learning more about the Holliston Public School Montessori Program and why it may be a wonderful choice for their child. Come meet the teachers and explore a 3-6 Montessori classroom (for Pre-k and K). An overview of the Montessori philosophy and Pre-K and K lessons will be presented.

For over 100 years, Montessori has proven to be a successful method of teaching for all children. Children work in a safe learning environment that fosters personal academic growth. Each child learns at his/her own pace; learning “how to learn”. The Montessori method encourages independence, confidence, respect for others, and a love of learning. It offers freedom of movement and freedom of choice in a prepared environment.
